Most students do not experience a barrier to notetaking for asynchronous classes, as students have unlimited access to course materials and can freely pause recordings to take their own notes. DRC will work with the student to provide technical support or to explore other options available. *Students should contact DRC immediately if they have any questions or concerns about use of NTE. Be sure to record all references, assignments, and special notices accurately and in detail and include the course title, instructor name, and date at the top of the document. Notetaking Services will be provided through use of Note Taking Express (NTE)*. Take accurate and concise notes on all components of the class, including lecture, videos, work on the board, etc. DRC will provide the Notetaking Services accommodations for face-to-face classes and synchronous online classes that are not recorded by the instructor and made available for review. Students are more likely to experience barriers to notetaking in face-to-face and synchronous classes where instruction occurs in realtime, at a pace determined by the instructor.
